Position Summary:

The designer will create marketing materials for a variety of mediums and clients. They must be able to follow brand guidelines to design visually compelling pieces that communicate concepts and information clearly. Designers collaborate on creative projects while absorbing mentorship and instruction. Designers must exhibit strong two-way communication skills — articulating their insights and responding to constructive feedback professionally.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Developing creative concepts that align with client business objectives
  • Studying relevant materials including research, job updates and creative briefs
  • Illustrating or sketching concepts that explore design arrangement, typography, hierarchy, and style
  • Submitting all work for review by senior personnel and responding positively to constructive feedback
  • Preparing and exporting finished art by utilizing necessary equipment and applications
  • Contributing to team efforts and accomplishing assigned tasks on time
  • Creating a wide range of graphic solutions for projects including multipage design, illustrations, print and digital assets, company logos, photo-retouching, etc.
  • Exhibiting a solid understanding of typography and its element in design and space
  • Fulfilling basic duties that help them grow in the realm of graphic design. Graphic Designers often work on multiple aspects of a project under the supervision of senior personnel.

Education/Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field
  • 0-2 years of experience in graphic design or related field
  • Internships, accolades, and other achievements in related disciplines
  • Tangible graphic design skills with a strong portfolio
  • Proficiency in required desktop publishing tools, including Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office
  • A strong eye for visual composition
  • Effective time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines
  • Willingness to give and receive constructive criticism
  • Understanding of marketing and design for both traditional and digital media
